Isaiah McKenzie’s record-setting day helps Georgia beat UL-Lafayette

ATHENS, Ga. — After four losses in five games, Georgia won for the third consecutive time Saturday in a 35-21 win over UL Lafayette.

Here are five takeaways from the win in Sanford Stadium.

Isaiah McKenzie was the game’s MVP.

McKenzie, a junior wide receiver, had 164 all-purpose yards on the afternoon. On the game’s first play from scrimmage, he scored on a 55-yard run on a reverse toss play. On his next touch, he returned a punt 82 yards to build the Bulldogs’ lead up to 14-0 within the first few minutes of the game.
