In one monment during a late September football game, life changed forever for former Southern Jaguars wide receiver Devon Gales. While attempting to make a tackle for the FCS school during their game against the Georgia Bulldogs, Gales suffered a spinal cord injury that left him paralyzed.
In the days that passed, those involved with the Georgia Bulldogs and their athletic program helped to make sure he had the best care, as well as provided whatever his family needed while being by Gales’ bedside. Now at a rehab facility in nearby Atlanta, Gales wants to say thanks to those involved with the SEC power who stood by the fallen opponent at his time of need.
