In a surprise release tthis afternoon Mark Richt announced that incoming freshman Devondre Seymour will be giving up football. It's an anticlimactic ending to a long story. The adopted son of former Bulldog great Richard Seymour initially signed with the Bulldogs in 2013 as a late surprise in that class. Physically gifted but raw, Seymour also had some academic work to take care of after leaving North Gwinnett and ended up at Hinds Community College in Mississippi for two seasons. However, he reported a couple of weeks ago as expected and appeared set to get his college career started.
