True freshman Jake Fromm has assumed the starting quarterback role at Georgia and is running with it.
Fromm, a former four-star recruit from Warner Robins (Ga.) Houston County, took over as the starter after an injury to Jacob Eason in the opener. He has thrown for 650 yards and seven touchdowns as Georgia has opened the season 4-0.
“I’m extremely proud of him,” Von Lassiter, his coach at Houston County High, told GN. “To be able to see him do what he loves to do and be successful at it is so great to watch as his former coach.
