Georgia’s football team entered the 2015 season ranked No. 9 in the country. The Bulldogs were predicted to win the SEC East and were a trendy, dark-horse College Football Playoff pick by some pundits.
Here we are, nine weeks into the season, and Georgia (5-3) is no longer ranked. The SEC East has basically been decided – the Bulldogs aren’t winning it – and Mark Richt’s team has been eliminated from College Football Playoff contention.
So, yeah, it hasn’t been a great season. Some are going as far to say that it’s time for the Richt era in Athens, Ga.
