It’s easy for forget that in the 2012 recruiting cycle, Keith Marshall was considered a better recruit than Todd Gurley.
Both went to high school in North Carolina and both signed with Georgia. Gurley had by the better college career. Indeed, Marshall ran for 1,379 yards in his career, and Gurley had more than that (1,385) as a true freshman in 2012.
Gurley left for the NFL after his junior season in 2014 and was the NFL’s offensive rookie of the year in 2015. Marshall is in this year’s draft, and there is some intrigue surrounding his NFL prospects.
