ATHENS, Ga.— Saturday is one more step toward the end of the road in Athens for Georgia wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell, who will be one of 30 players honored on the Bulldogs’ “Senior Night” against Georgia Southern at Sanford Stadium.
Mitchell obviously will be remembered for what he did on the field. He also will be remembered for the student part of student-athlete.
In 2014, a CBS News story spotlighted Mitchell’s voracious reading habits. Since that time, Mitchell has gone on to read to area schoolchildren on a regular basis, and he even wrote a children’s book, “The Magician’s Hat.
