Georgia true freshman quarterback Jake Fromm and Ohio State counterpart Tate Martell will be featured in a documentary series produced by Peter Berg, who directed the movie Friday Night Lights.
Fromm, Martell and Wake Forest signee Tayvon Bowers were followed by film crews during their senior seasons of high school. Their stories will be part of a 10-part series called QB1: Beyond The Lights, which is scheduled to debut on February 15 on Verizon’s go90 network.
The three-plus-minute trailer has footage of Fromm’s season-opening game in 2016.
The series is described as “an intimate look at the quest for the American dream, as seen through the lens of the nation’s top high school quarterbacks aspiring for NFL greatness.
