LOS ANGELES -- When Georgia true freshman quarterback Jake Fromm sat down to take questions Thursday morning, he wasn't expecting a pop quiz about college football history.
"Jake, have you ever heard of Jamelle Holieway?" he was asked.
"Jamelle Holieway?" said Fromm, with a puzzled look. "I don't think so. Who's that?"
In 1985, more than a decade before Fromm was born, Holieway became the first -- and still only -- true freshman quarterback to lead his team to a national title when he took over for an injured Troy Aikman and guided Oklahoma to an 11-1 record and a win over Penn State in the Orange Bowl.
