Georgia wide receiver Mecole Hardman is expected to compete with the Bulldogs’ track and field program Saturday at the SEC Championship meet in Columbia, S.C., a university spokesperson told the Athens Banner-Herald.
Hardman is expected to be an alternate for the Bulldogs in the 4-x-100 meter relay. He is not slated to compete in any individual events.
The newly converted wide receiver started to practice with the Georgia track program after spring practice concluded April 22. This was after he was moved to offense from playing cornerback and stayed at this position for the majority of the offseason practices.
