Georgia and TCU will face off in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium in Memphis on December 30.
The Bulldogs (7-5) had a disappointing season under first-year coach Kirby Smart, but the Horned Frogs (6-6) were equally as disappointing in coach Gary Patterson’s 16th season. TCU opened the season at No. 13 in the polls.
It will be the fourth meeting between Georgia and TCU, with the Bulldogs winning the three previous meetings in 1942, 1980 and 1988.
Georgia will be making its fourth Liberty Bowl appearance, while it will be TCU’s second.
