Georgia is in the SEC championship game, that’s for sure. But to stay in the national title picture, the Bulldogs must avoid a slip-up against their state rivals.
With an option attack that’s hard to defend, Georgia Tech can be tricky. Paul Johnson’s team beat Virginia Tech and almost knocked off No. 2 Miami, but also lost to Tennessee and just got blown out by Duke. But their top-30 defense presents a challenge. Jake Fromm, Nick Chubb and Sony Michel will have to work for their yardage Saturday.
Although the Bulldogs hold a sizable all-time edge against their former conference rivals (Georgia Tech left the SEC after the 1963 season), the Yellow Jackets have caused them more than their share of trouble of late.
