ATLANTA – For the second consecutive season, the quarterback for the SEC champion is a true freshman.
Last season, it was Alabama’s Jalen Hurts; this season, it’s Georgia’s Jake Fromm, who held the Bulldogs beat Auburn 28-7 Saturday in the SEC championship game
“I felt calm out there,” Fromm said. “I was ready to go and play for the guys. I was ready to do anything I could to lay it on the line for these seniors. To win them an SEC championship? They deserved it.”
Fromm was 16-of-22 for 183 yards and two touchdowns; he was sacked twice.
