ATHENS, Ga. – If there was any doubt about Georgia winning Saturday’s matchup against Samford, it was minimal and the Bulldogs showed that in their 42-14 win.

Here are five takeaways from the rout.

Georgia has a few capable running backs

Georgia was able to show (almost) its full running back corps, and it did not disappoint. Sony Michel sat out to rest an ankle injury, but five running backs still had carries against Samford. Starter Nick Chubb led the way with 16 carries for 131 yards and two touchdowns, followed by true freshman D’Andre Swift, sophomores Brian Herrien and Elijah Holyfield and walk-on redshirt freshman Prather Hudson.
