Georgia schedules pair of big out of conference football series with Clemson, Texas

We’ll have to wait a decade for it, but Georgia appears set to renew one historic rivalry and take on a traditional power in a pair of moves sure to delight fans and amp up strength of schedule.

The athletic department announced this morning that Georgia will play home-and-home series with both Texas and Clemson over a three year period between 2028 and 2030. The ‘Dawgs will travel to Austin to open the season against the Longhorns on September 2, 2028, then host the Burnt Orange on September 1, 2029.

Concurrently, the Red and Black will travel to the banks of Lake Hartwell to take on the Country Gentlemen on September 15, 2029 and host them in Athens on August 31, 2030.
