With coaching changes come player transfers, and such is the case for Georgia true freshman safety Johnathan Abram, who started four games for the Bulldogs this season.
Georgia started its spring semester Monday and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that Abram was not enrolled. He also missed the TaxSlayer Bowl for what interim coach Bryan McClendon called “personal issues.”
Abram, from Columbia, Miss., was recruited to Georgia by former defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt, who left to take the same role at Alabama. There hasn’t been a publicly disclosed reason why Abram has left the program.
Abram played in 10 games and finished with 25 tackles.
