No. 5 Georgia used a dominating rushing attack and ran through, around and over No. 23 Auburn, 27-10 to win the 123rd edition of The Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry.
Sophomore running back D’Andre Swift rushed for a career high 186 yards on 17 carries and his running mate Elijah Holyfielid had 15 carries for 93 yards as the Bulldogs’ power game racked up 303 rushing yards. Quarterback Jake Fromm completed 13 of 20 passes for 193 yards with two clutch touchdown passes and an interception.
Georgia’s defense held Auburn (6-4, 3-4) to a total of 274 yards and shut the Plainsmen out in the second half.
