Georgia Punter Out With A Knee Injury

Georgia punter Marshall Long, who took a medical redshirt last season, may be forced to take another in 2018.

The Dawgs’ former starting punter in 2016 announced on Instagram he underwent knee surgery on his left knee. This is the North Carolina native’s third knee surgery.

Senior Michael D’Angola, sophomore Bill Rubright and incoming freshman Jake Camarda (nation’s No. 1 prep punter) will be seeking the job this season.

In addition, Georgia added graduate transfer Landon Stratton this week. Stratton was a three-year starter at Murray State.

Last season, Georgia added graduate transfer Cameron Nizialek, and all he did was finish fourth in the SEC with nearly a 45 yard average and clutch punts throughout the season.
