ATHENS, Ga. – Georgia had five sacks in last Sunday’s 28-14 win over South Carolina, the Bulldogs’ best single-game sack performance since they had five against Clemson in the 2014 season-opener.
Three of the sacks came in South Carolina’s final two series. Chuks Amaechi had the last one, which gave the Bulldogs the football for one final kneeldown to end the game.
Amaechi, Lorenzo Carter, Davin Bellamy, Tyler Clark and Trent Thompson each had one sack. Bellamy has been a believer in the pass rush since the beginning of the season and he said the belief in the group paid off.
