Georgia paid to fly out parents of Southern WR Devon Gales

Regardless of your college football affiliation, you have to appreciate a kind gesture from the Georgia Bulldogs program this weekend.

Following a scary spinal injury to Southern wide receier Devon Gales which left him with multiple fractures in his neck, the Georgia athletic department paid to fly Gales’ parents from Louisiana to Georgia so they could be with their son during his recovery.

The report comes from DawgNation.com.

“Gales’ parents are with him: They were flown in from Louisiana at UGA’s expense on Saturday night, then driven to Athens by Georgia staff, according to Georgia athletics director Greg McGarity,” the report reads.
