Georgia OL signee D’Antne Demery arrested after allegedly hitting mother of child

Georgia offensive lineman signee D’Antne Demery was arrested in Athens on Saturday night following an incident that involved a female he is dating who is the mother of his one-month-old child.

Demery, 19, was charged with criminal trespass and simple battery and booked into the Athens-Clarke County jail at 10:52 p.m. Under bond remarks on his jail log, it is listed as “no bail family violence.”

He remained incarcerated as of 11 a.m. Sunday.

According to a police report, Demery allegedly made physical contact with the victim in front of Boar’s Head in downtown Athens. The victim called 911 and said she wished to press charges.
