Georgia non-conference game may be pushed back to 2019 season

It looks like Georgia will have to wait another year before it plays Murray State.

The Athens Banner-Herald reported Friday evening that the Bulldogs’ 2018 non-conference game scheduled against the Racers likely will be pushed back to the 2019 season.

In a document obtained by the newspaper through an open records request, Georgia and Murray State signed a new agreement in November to instead play each other either on Aug. 31 or Sept. 7 of the 2019 season.

The schools will have to sign an agreement on a final date by March 31, 2017 or else risk having the new arrangement terminated and both parties no longer obligated to the other.
