The No. 10-ranked Georgia men’s golf team finished the weekend with a win in the Old Waverly Collegiate Championship in West Point, Miss. That’s UGA’s second win of the season.
The Bulldogs finished with a 10-stroke lead over a field that included Texas A&M, Alabama, Arkansas, LSU, Texas Tech and host Mississippi State.
Playing Old Waverly Golf Club’s par-72, 7,088-yard layout, Junior Eli Scott, a transfer from Coastal Georgia, led the Bulldogs with a career-best 9-under 207 for the tournament, good enough for a second place finish and two strokes behind Texas A&M’s Sam Bennett.
