Georgia looking to put ‘foot down’ to end losing skid

ATHENS, Ga. — Georgia hasn’t had a three-game losing streak since a 6-7 campaign in 2010.

Kentucky hasn’t been bowl eligible since that same season and would be with a win.

Something will have to give Saturday when the Bulldogs travel to face the Wildcats in Commonwealth Stadium in Lexington, Kentucky.

But for Georgia to end its losing skid, which includes four out of its last five, the Bulldogs will first need to show they’re capable of meeting that challenge.

“You’ve got to put your foot down somewhere,” junior defensive tackle John Atkins said. “You’ve got to man down upfront and anchor down upfront, so it won’t be a win against you.
