During Saturday’s game, Georgia baseball first baseman Adam Sasser was allegedly heard making “racially derogatory comments directed toward a Bulldog football player,” per UGASports.com.
The University of Georgia is currently investigating the matter and has not provided any specifics on the incident, other than that it took place during Georgia’s 38-12 win over Tennessee on September 29th.
According to the Athletic, the player on the receiving end of the offensive language was freshman quarterback Justin Fields.
A group of students heard Sasser’s alleged remarks at the game and confronted him about it, but to no avail.
