ATHENS, Ga. – Georgia lacked big plays in its passing attack last season, and the hope is wide receivers Ahkil Crumpton and Mecole Hardman will make a difference in 2017.
The Bulldogs had just 33 pass plays that went for at least 20 yards last season; that was third-fewest in the SEC and ranked just 91st nationally. Crumpton, a junior college transfer, and Hardman, a sophomore who played cornerback last season, look to have the needed playmaking skills to change that.
Bulldogs quarterback Jacob Eason said Hardman adds an element to the receiving unit.
“He’s brought a little energy,” Eason said.
