Georgia LB Reggie Carter misses third straight practice with concussion

ATHENS, Ga. — Georgia inside linebacker Reggie Carter missed his third straight day of practice this week Wednesday due to a concussion.

Georgia has not yet announced if Carter, who has started four of the five Bulldogs’ games this season, will be available for Saturday’s game at South Carolina, though coach Kirby Smart said Tuesday that the concussion was “mild.”

If Carter cannot play, Smart said Rashad Roundtree or Juwan Taylor should fill his spot at the position against the Gamecocks. Roquan Smith and Natrez Patrick, along with Carter, are Georgia’s usual top-three inside linebackers who take the majority of the reps at the position.
