Georgia had a handful of players miss the beginning of their second fall camp practice Tuesday. Junior inside linebacker Reggie Carter was one of them.
Carter, who is in the running to be one of the Bulldogs two starters at inside linebacker this season after missing most of last season following a shoulder surgery, may have had an academic obligation to meet on the final day of Georgia’s summer semester session. It’s possible that Carter came back onto the practice field after the media-viewing period.
In Carter’s absence, sophomore Roquan Smith worked with the first-team defense during “pursuit drills,” alongside fellow sophomore Natrez Patrick.
