ATHENS, Ga. — True to what Georgia coach Kirby Smart said earlier this week, true freshman Deangelo Gibbs continued to get work at Star on Thursday.
Gibbs appeared to be working with the starters, which he has done at other times this spring.
Smart said last week that sophomore Tyrique McGhee currently was the Bulldogs’ starting Star, or nickel back, this spring, though that could be just as things stand now.
During the media viewing period of practice, McGhee watched from the sideline, while Gibbs worked on one side of the field at the position and senior Tim Hill worked at Star on the other side.
