One of the worst things about being a 5-star, offensive, prospect is you’re expected to become a superstar. Ideally, you should start from day one, set the world on fire the moment you touch the football, and by the end of the year, your name should be on the short-list for the Heisman. If you’re a quarterback, that goes double. You can’t turn a corner or throw a football without running into a load of hefty expectations and a million questions of when you’re going to live up to the “hype”.
It’s an unsettling reality and I don’t envy Jacob Eason.
