The No. 2-ranked Georgia Bulldogs dominated Vanderbilt on a steamy Saturday night in Sanford Stadium, 41-13.
Georgia (6-0, 4-0) scored more than 40 points for the fifth time in six games and won its sixth consecutive game by double digits. The Bulldogs’ starting defense gave up some big plays to Vandy early on but settled down and only allowed the Commodores two field goals. Playing the entire fourth quarter with backups, the Bulldogs allowed Vandy to score a last-second touchdown.
The Dawgs avenged Vanderbilt’s 17-16 win in Athens in 2016. The Bulldogs are now 21-4 in Homecoming contests against the ‘Dores.
