Georgia Football Signs Second 2016 Quarterback

Kelly is a 6-foot-3, 205-pound dual-threat quarterback from Alpharetta, Georgia. He becomes the 21st commitment for Georgia’s 2016 recruiting class.

The senior is ranked as a 3-star prospect by 247 sports and participated in the GHSA North-South Allstar Game in January.

With the addition of Kelly, Georgia indirectly acknowledges last season’s lack of depth at the quarterback position, which resulted in the Bulldogs struggling more on offense than was expected of them.

Kirby Smart and new offensive coordinator Jim Chaney now have not one but two 2016 quarterbacks to add to their depth chart and, furthermore, compete for the starting position.
