Offensive line coach Sam Pittman worked his magic again on Monday. This time, crossing the state line via Interstate-20 and heading into Oxford, Alabama to bring Clay Webb, the no. 1 center in the country home to Georgia football.
His commitment isn’t just big for the 2019 recruiting class, it’s also huge for the ongoing recruiting rivalry with Alabama who probably thought the 295-pounder located just 115 miles east was theirs. Webb is the fourth five-star player to commit to Georgia, and the 19th player overall. Alabama has 24 commits currently, but only two of them are five stars.
