It’s almost that time. The Georgia Football team is playing in the national championship game for the first time in decades and is seeking to win the program’s first national title since 1980, long before I was even born.
How did the Dawgs get here? Kirby Smart has elevated Georgia to a national powerhouse program after years of underachievement under Mark Richt. He’s done so in just 2 years through excellent recruiting, coaching, and support from the UGA Athletic Department.
This Georgia team is special. It is loaded with seniors on both sides of the ball, many of whom chose to forgo a shot at the NFL Draft least year and return to Athens to compete for a championship.
