Reports out of Athens have not been all that welcoming in recent weeks for Georgia. The turnover among coaches is a story in itself. Former head coach Mark Richt has moved to Miami. Offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer was not re-hired by new head coach Kirby Smart. Defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt accepted the same position at Alabama.

Wide receivers coach Bryan McClendon has taken over as the interim head coach for the TaxSlayer Bowl, while Smart finishes the season as the Alabama defensive coordinator. Tight ends coach John Lilly will assume offensive coordinator responsibilities, while outside linebackers coach Kevin Sherrer takes over as the defensive play-caller.
