Georgia football got some excellent news with Mekhail Sherman commitment was made public on May 9th. A week prior, Sherman had announced that he had narrowed his list down to two schools, Georgia and Ohio State.
Sherman is a high-end five-star prospect from St. John’s College High School in the Washington DC area. He seemed to be leaning towards Ohio State for a long time, but in recent months the Bulldogs turned the tide on that.
His primary recruiter at Georgia is outside linebackers coach Dan Lanning. Many believe that Sherman’s visit to Athens for the “G-Day” spring game was a final push for Sherman to lean towards and eventually choose the Bulldogs.
