Years ago, the Georgia Bulldogs changed into black uniforms before a game against the rival Auburn Tigers after wearing red ones on the field for warmups. Purists within UGA nation were not fans of the move and asked for things to stick to normal.
So, the news that the team is asking fans to wear black for a game this season might make some of those purists worry:
