Georgia finalizes its coaching staff by hiring Scott Fountain, Cortez Hankton

Georgia had two coaching vacancies and looks to have finalized its on-field coaching staff with the additions of Scott Fountain and Cortez Hankton.

Fountain spent 2017 as an analyst for Georgia, then was hired as special teams coach at Mississippi State in January; he likely will oversee special teams for Georgia now that Shane Beamer has departed for Oklahoma.

Hankton had spent the past three seasons as Vanderbilt’s wide receiver coach. His position for the Bulldogs is unknown. Beamer also had been tight ends coach, and James Coley, who has been Georgia’s receivers coach the past two season, remains on staff.
