Georgia edge rusher Mykel Williams has a grade 2 left ankle sprain and is questionable to play in Saturday's game against FCS opponent Tennessee Tech at Sanford Stadium, Bulldogs coach Kirby Smart said Monday.
Williams, who is considered a potential top five pick in next year's NFL draft, was hurt on a low block by Clemson running back Phil Mafah with 6:34 to go in the third quarter of Georgia's 34-3 victory. Mafah was called for an illegal block on the play.
Williams, a junior from Columbus, Georgia, left the Bulldogs' locker room at Mercedes-Benz Stadium wearing a walking boot.
