ATHENS, Ga. – J.R. Reed always wanted to play at a school with a big football program.
Now, he’s fully getting the opportunity – and proving he belongs at the same time at Georgia.
“I just always believed in myself,” Reed said. “I knew I was a good player and believed that I had a chance. So the coaches told me if I work hard, I always have a chance. So that’s how I came in with my mindset.”
The coaches weren’t lying.
After beginning his career at Tulsa, Reed transferred to Georgia as a walk-on last season and now is in position to start at Star in the Bulldogs’ secondary this fall.
