ATLANTA — Georgia coach Mark Richt still never has lost back-to-back games against Georgia Tech after Saturday’s 13-7 win over the Yellow Jackets.
Tech beat the Bulldogs in overtime in Athens last season, but Saturday, the Bulldogs took an early lead on a 35-yard touchdown run by running back Sony Michel and never looked back.
Michel finished with 149 yards to help Georgia to its ninth win of the season.
The Bulldogs’ defense limited the Yellow Jackets to 194 rushing yards and 276 total yards. Georgia had seven tackles for loss and two sacks.
Not surprisingly, Georgia defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt was p;eased with the payof his defense; he also praised his outside linebackers.
