ATHENS, Ga.— Monday was the first chance to hear directly from Georgia coach Mark Richt and athletic director Greg McGarity after Sunday’s decision to part ways with Richt after 15 seasons.
Richt is 145-51 during his career with the Bulldogs, and he will coach his final game in the Bulldogs’ bowl matchup.
In these videos you will have the chance to hear from Richt,, who said he was open to coaching elsewhere, and McGarity. McGarity was mum on a timetable for the hire at Georgia. He did say Georgia would retain a search firm.
Legendary former Bulldogs coach Vince Dooley was in attendance and gave his thoughts on Richt’s departure.
