Georgia basketball beat Florida A&M 85-75 in Athens in the Bulldogs’ season opener.
Senior forward Andrew Garcia led Georgia with 22 points, including 10 points from the foul line.
Junior guard Tye Fagan scored a career-high 21 points and added 10 rebounds, while sophomore guard Sahvir Wheeler added 12 points along with 12 assists.

UGA was originally scheduled to start the season off on Nov. 25 vs. Columbus State but the game was cancelled due to positive COVID-19 testing within the Cougars’ program.
