Aaron Schunk is a former 3rd baseman for the Georgia baseball team and one of the most decorated guys on the team, especially after this past season. The senior pitched and played third base for the Dawgs.
He was selected in the second round (#62 overall) of the 2019 MLB Draft by the Colorado Rockies. At Georgia Schunk had a .312 average with 19 HRs, and 114 RBI. Shortly after signing with the Rockies he was fast-tracked straight to their A affiliate the Boise Hawks.
According to Jay Trust’s tweet, Schunk got off to a rough start as a pro, but has since turned it around:
Even though he struggled early, he has only struck out five times in his 50 minor league at-bats.
