On Monday morning, Western Kentucky of Conference USA announced a game vs the Georgia Bulldogs for September 12, 2026 in Athens.
This will be the second time these two schools meet, with the last game coming in 2006. Georgia won that game 48-12 in Sanford Stadium.
After spending last season as Tennessee’s offensive coordinator, Tyson Helton is entering his first year as head coach at WKU.
This is Georgia’s third scheduled non-conference opponent for 2026. UGA will open that season with a home game vs UCLA, and in week two will take on WKU. And as usual, Georgia will close the regular season with Georgia Tech.
