Georgia led for much of the first half, then overcame a deficit to tie things up at the end of a seesaw second half. The ‘Dawgs then got just enough to notch a big double overtime win over visiting SMU tonight.
It was freshman guard Sahvir Wheeler who hit a driving layup at the end of the first overtime to keep it going and another to clinch the win. He was placed in position to do so by another stellar night from Rayshaun Hammonds, who led all Bulldogs with 21 points.
