Two very good football teams squared off on Saturday night in Athens, Georgia. The nature of this type of arrangement is that one of them is required to win and one is required to lose. In the end Georgia won. The rest is sort of academic for now.
As someone who picked Georgia to prevail by three earlier this week, I don’t think this was a surprising outcome. Much of this Notre Dame roster played in the College Football Playoff eight months ago, going toe=to-toe with national champion Clemson for most of a half. These guys aren’t stiffs.
