The Georgia Bulldogs have added an intriguing transfer in former Clemson Tigers defensive back Derion Kendrick. The former five-star recruit brings tons of big game experience to Athens.
He and the Bulldogs will open the 2021 college football season against his former team. Kendrick was named as an All-ACC cornerback before transferring to Georgia.
Kendrick’s addition addresses an area of need for Georgia. The secondary is a weakness after losing Eric Stokes, Tyson Campbell, Richard LeCounte, Tyrique Stevenson, Mark Webb, and DJ Daniel from last season.
The 6-foot-1, 190-pound cornerback attended South Pointe High School in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
