On Saturday, former UGA wide receiver Terry Godwin was selected by the Carolina Panthers with the 237th overall pick in the 7th round of the draft.
The Hogansville, GA native played four years for the Dawgs and tallied 133 catches for 1,785 yards and 11 touchdowns over that span. One of his more memorable moments at UGA was his incredible one-handed touchdown in a close win against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
Godwin may not see much playing time at least at the beginning of the season for the Panthers, but Carolina isn’t a team with lots of receiving depth, so he may be able to work his way into the rotation before season’s end.
