Former Southern University wide receiver Devon Gales, who became paralyzed in a 2015 game against the Georgia Bulldogs, has landed a high school coaching job.
Gales has been receiving treatment at the Shepherd Center for a couple of years and broke ground on a new wheelchair-accessible home in Braselton back in August, which was given through raised donations.
Now, the former wide receiver involved in the tragic accident with kicker Marshall Morgan will become an assistant coach on the Jefferson County football team for the upcoming season according to accessWDUN.com.
Gales was invited to speak to the Dragons football team last week and later offered a spot on the coaching staff to help motivate the team.
